if you give to charity and don't wish for the need to give to charity to vanish, you aren't a good christian, or person in general, yes if you give when not you're not forced it is more moral than if you're forced to give, but the most morally correct position is to say charity should not be needed and that you should create a system where the lives and well being of people isn't dependent on others potential morality.

I think they often confuse communism and charity, because they don’t realise charity Jesus talks about is personal and not institutional, however I would say that Jesus would frown on capitalism if he saw the state it is in today
