Yeah but I’m sure they’ll discontinue that model of battery in 7 months for the new better one that’s $20 more so really it’s almost pointless.

Oh they can figure it out, they just rather sell you new buds when the batteries die. They did the same since the original iPod, with a small break in between with their macbooks for a tiny bit. Also - show us how easily are they replaceable, ideally without losing stuff like water or splash resistance. And the batteries need to be produced and make sense to replace them. Valve did a lot of strides with repairability of things like SteamDeck, but recently their repair partner iFixIt (or Valve) increased the price of the battery replacement by 125%.

I'm pretty sure this is because of the new eu battery regulation where they have to make batteries replaceable by 2027.

Maybe they’ll finally address reliability. Had the 3s and 4s and had to send them both for warranty replacements cuz one of the headphones stopped working or wouldn’t charge. It sucks cuz the sound was great, but durability was doodoo.
