As an incoming junior who has been commuting for 2 years now trust me you will be okay. There are days you feel really lonely and question your decision so many times, especially your freshman year. It was quite literally one of the hardest years of my life but trust me it gets so much better. My sophomore year I made so many new friends and connected more on campus. Just because you’re a commuter doesn’t make you any less of a student 🫶🏼

Girl i swear, it’s ok! My freshman year felt weird at first but as long as you’re still putting yourself out there and going to events you won’t lose the “college experience”. I made many good friends and had a great time!🫶

The biggest reason I chose to commute was to save money. Im glad I dont have to leave things behind as well but part of me wants that dorm experience. I think it will all be worth it in the long run but tbh ive been so stressed about college since before orientation

i did one year at a regular college, decided the "college experience" was meh, and transferred to a state school close to home so i could commute. my tuition is fully covered by financial aid and YES i am feeling FOMO seeing my friends go/go back to school while im at home but i also feel like long term i'll be glad i did it!
