Fun little hike we found⛰️🌵 The terrain was definitely a challenge for Birdie in her wheelchair, but to nobody’s surprise… she absolutely crushed it💛 The girls are adorable and just follow along like they’ve been part of our pack forever! They’re the sweetest little souls and it’s been so fun watching them relax a little more each day, and also get stronger! As for us… we’re turning right back around to start heading north! We’re all the way near the bottom of Baja right now, but we’ve realized that whether Birdie ends up having surgery or not, we have to go back to the U.S. One thing we definitely didn’t think about when we rescued a larger dog is that during the summer there are airline heat embargoes, meaning Birdie can’t fly because of the temperatures. So we’ll be road tripping all the way back north! It definitely wasn’t our plan to head back to the US this soon, but these dogs have a funny way of writing the itinerary😂 We’ve learned to stop making plans because they always seem to have better ones! Honestly… we’re the ones along for the ride😅💕 Birdie’s adoption application will be closing by tomorrow🥹 We’ve already made so much progress reading applications and talking with some incredible potential families! As we continue narrowing down Birdie’s treatment plan, we also want to narrow down her forever family so they can be part of these big decisions too! Thank you all for following along on this crazy adventure! We can’t wait to see where these dogs take us next🌞
