What really stands out to me is that many of the men standing up for Lindsay are from an older generation some born in the 1950s. I don’t want to stereotype, but they grew up during a time when traditional gender roles were much more deeply ingrained in society. Seeing these older men stand up so strongly for a woman’s mental health and advocate for better understanding and treatment genuinely makes me want to cry. It gives me hope that compassion and awareness can cross generations.
