If you’re using samples and shit yes mixing is incredibly simple all you’re doing is fixing the vocals. I suspect that’s all this guy does. If you’re mixing a full band. Live drums, guitars, keys, other shit then it’s not easy at all

I’d argue that works for him because his sound is so deconstructed, they’re very simple beats that don’t really introduce phasing issues, so to HIM it’s just a matter of increasing volume

No lie told, however don’t compare yourself to him if you’re not vocally good. Nothing changes the fact that he’s got good vocals and sings good, if the foundation sounds good. You don’t have to necessarily do too much. 😊

Hip hop sounds are pretty well pre-shaped to be mix ready. So with the sounds he used, not wrong. But raw organic acoustic and more rock, “mic’d” sounds… def need more carving
