Why does the roundabout have to be a perfect circle? Where I’m from they’re often oblong or “misshapen” to accommodate for spaces like this.

In Australia we have combination round abouts with stop lights to periodically stop the feeder roads that don’t have gaps during peak hours. Then during off hours it’s just a regular round about.

You are absolutely able to fit a 2 lane roundabout with 5 exits. You dont need a centre that big, also, trafficlights for peak times is an incredibly useful tool.

Two problems with your simulation. The roundabout can definitely have two lanes. Also you don’t account for pedestrians at the pedestrian crossings that would be automatic stop for some of the lanes that are stopping up the rest of the lanes.
