OCPD isn’t necessarily rare, it’s under-diagnosed. I think a lot of neurodivergent people are suffering from OCPD tbh 😕

For everyone confused- OCD is obsessive compulsive thoughts which can range across multiple subjects but its unwanted, intrusive, very distressing thoughts. This can be in subjects like self-harm. OCPD- is the personality disorder defined with excessive need for order/perfectionism, cleaning, control of environment. Some of the personality traits for this cross with Autism as well. The titles are confusing but they clinically do look different!

My daughter had this and it ended up actually being from PANS/PANDAS. She had a gut infection that effected her brain.

OCPD and OCD may not be the same, but they run on the same basis and people seem to forget that. I can empathize with you as someone with OCD even if we have different diagnosis. Both just having you fighting every day

Hi, I do icd10 coding as part of my job, I just want you to be aware (which you might be already) that some ICD10 codes are updated every October. Yours isn’t likely to change but it’s something to be aware of for the future.

i have OCD and general&social anxiety and have always been confused by my strong sense of justice, which is usually a trait in people with autism, which i do not meet any criteria for. i wonder if this could be what it is (not trying to self diagnose but i think it’s interesting)

I’m 47- and have it. Diagnosed 25 years or so ago. I don’t think it’s rare. It is hell though.
