At some chapters, during formal recruitment, the VPMR will assign members to “basement jobs” (code for BTS) if the VPMR doesn’t think the members represent the chapter well, or they’re perceived to be not great recruiters. Total mean-girl behavior and it’s a mistake. Your chapter is full of all kinds of people and the PNMs (potential new members) are all kinds of people, too. Some PNMs might connect with that sister who has green hair, even if your VPMR thinks it clashes with the party’s aesthetic.
