If you had the RPM to 4000 and it still won't accelerate, that's your transmission, not the plugs

So what I gathered here is there was no check engine light Jiffy Lube didn’t want to charge you for a spark plug service that may not fix your issue. Because there was no current check engine light saying a cylinder misfire or anything like that. makes since and this is why if they change your plugs and it doesn’t fix your problem you’re not gonna wanna pay the bill. Even though you advocate to have the plugs changed I’ve been down that road way too many times with customers. this also could all been avoided by you if you would’ve made an appointment with a proper mechanic shop and had a diagnosis done instead of trying to have AutoZone, which barely have workers that know what part they’re selling. working there and taking it to jiffylube were there is no actual service tech to do a proper diagnostic this all falls on you

Possibly spark plugs but sounds more like a clogged cat, oxygen sensor, airflow sensor or fuel injector. Take it to a real mechanic

Jiffy Lube is barely qualified to change your damn oil twin. Find a locally trusted shop and pay their diagnostic fee. It will save you in the long run.

as a mechanic please stay away from jiffy lube for anything besides some air in your tires.. obviously this isnt common knowledge to every car owner so not your fault but they dont know how to diagnose a vehicle let alone do oil changes. they dont give proper training either so its not fully the techs fault sometimes if they only know what they are taught. best of luck to your and your car!

Bruh take you’re car to get a diagnostic. I can almost guarantee with 100% accuracy as a mechanic it is not your spark plugs.

If your car revs up, spark plugs may also be bad along with other things on your car, but problem is the transmission. Either that or the torque converter.

If your car is not getting up to operating temperature you likely need a thermostat. None of these issues are because of your spark plugs.

If it was a spark plug issue the engine light would flash while your driving, and depending on the car the simple lube shop might not have the correct tools to do the job but don’t wanna admit they can’t do it.
