@aotearoaliberationleague: We're gonna hear "growing the economy" a lot leading up to the election, a phrase which is never investigated. But growing the economy as it is will not change much other than making rich people richer. Will they throw us more crumbs if they're even more stinking rich? No. If it hasn't trickled down at 5th richest, it's not gonna happen.
so THE RICH NOT ONLY HAVE BIG PIECE they take the fkn PLATE TOO from starving people !

This is why I see the rich as modern-day beneficiaries. Not because being wealthy is wrong, but because a lot of their power comes from the public not knowing the full picture. We’re constantly told to question people on benefits how much they contribute, what they receive and whether they deserve it. But why don’t we apply that same level of scrutiny to the wealthy? How much are they actually contributing to New Zealand compared with what they gain from our land, resources, infrastructure, workers, tax system and economy?
The uncomfortable truth is that the less the public understands, the easier it is for wealth and privilege to hide behind the idea that “they earned it all themselves.” I want people to start asking the same questions at the top that we’re constantly asking at the bottom. Because if your wealth depends on the public never looking too closely at how the system benefits you, then the lack of public knowledge becomes your greatest protection.

I’ve been saying this! We need to ask National HOW they are planning on growing the pie (when their efforts for the last 3 years have led us to peak unemployment and business liquidations); WHO they are growing the pie for; and whether working people can AFFORD to wait for the pie to grow… (we can’t)
