✨ This is my recipe for Black Forest Cherry Brownies, fudgy chocolate brownies loaded with cherries and chocolate chunks, topped with fluffy whipped cream and homemade cherry jam!✨ ~Brownie • 215 g unsalted butter • 140 g chocolate, melted • 45 g unsweetened cocoa powder • 160 g brown sugar • 60 g granulated sugar • 3 large eggs + 1 egg yolk, room temperature • 1 tbsp vanilla extract • ½ tsp salt • 120 g all-purpose flour • ½ tsp espresso powder, optional • 180 g fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and quartered • 80–100 g chocolate, cut into small chunks ~Cherry Jam • 200 g fresh or frozen cherries • 40 g granulated sugar • 1½ tsp cornstarch • Juice of ½ small lemon ~Whipped Cream • 2½ cups heavy whipping cream • 60 g powdered sugar • 2 tbsp Philadelphia cream cheese, optional • 1 tsp vanilla extract ~Instructions •Prepare the brownies 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). 2. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper. 3. Melt the butter and 140 g of chocolate together until smooth. Let cool slightly. 4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolk, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla until well combined. 5. Add the melted butter and chocolate mixture and mix until smooth. 6. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, salt and espresso powder. Mix just until combined—don’t overmix. 7. Gently fold in the 180 g quartered cherries and 80–100 g chocolate chunks. 8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. 9. Bake for 18–20 minutes. The center should still look slightly soft for fudgy brownies. 10. Let the brownies cool completely before decorating. •Make the cherry jam 1. Add the cherries, sugar and lemon juice to a small saucepan. 2. Cook over medium heat until the cherries soften and release their juices. 3. Mix the cornstarch with a small splash of water to make a slurry. 4. Add it to the cherries and cook for another 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened. 5. Let the jam cool completely before using. •Make the whipped cream 1. Beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla until it starts to thicken. 2. Add the Philadelphia cream cheese, if using. 3. Continue whipping until you have medium-stiff peaks. Don’t overwhip. • Decorate Once the brownies are completely cool, spread or pipe the whipped cream over the top. Add spoonfuls of the cherry jam and gently swirl it through the cream. Finish with an optional fresh cherry on top #blackforest #brownies #fudgybrownies #EasyRecipe #CapCut
