This might seem strange to some but Canada is also a diverse nation, one that many call home. Part of my family has come to this country, centuries ago, some many decades ago and maybe some, since I have kids, are coming in as we speak. We must be aware of this unique situation where we are a country where identity is more defined by the individuals than the blood. Do you believe that only some have the right to call themselves Canadian? Do you believe that from different origins, people will love, defend and thrive in this country? As history has already shown, you must look at your own heritage and recognize that you were once also a stranger.
