I’d do exactly what I did as a complete beginner 👇🏼 STEP 1: Pick ONE platform Instagram or TikTok. Not both. I started with zero followers, no audience and absolutely no clue what I was doing. You can even create a brand-new account and stay faceless if you want to. STEP 2: Learn how digital products work Digital products are things like guides, planners, templates, ebooks and online courses that can be sold completely online. No stock. No packing orders. No trips to the post office. And with the business model I started with, I didn’t even have to create the products from scratch. STEP 3: Set up a simple online store This is where your products live and where customers can purchase them. Mine runs in the background, meaning someone can buy whether I’m working, doing the food shop or asleep. STEP 4: Create simple content that attracts the RIGHT people You do NOT need to go viral. You need content that solves a problem, creates curiosity and gives people a reason to click your page and find out more. I started by learning around my 9–5 and being a busy mum. STEP 5: Focus on sales, not followers £1,500 a month doesn’t require hundreds of thousands of followers. For example… A £50 digital product × 30 sales = £1,500 That’s roughly one sale a day. And that’s exactly why I stopped obsessing over follower numbers and started learning how to actually turn content into income. I started this as a side hustle because I was living paycheck to paycheck and had debt that felt impossible to clear.
