its only banned for vendors working on streets. Restaurants still serve them with meat :) Taste wise at least to me it makes no difference but my parents for example insist to make it in the traditional way

as far as i know its not illegal to make it with meat, rather you have to get some kind of permit or certification as the meat version can cause food poisoning if prepared incorrectly

It’s banned from commercial selling but it’s one of the easiest recipes everyone knows how to make in Türkiye, the vegan option is good but the og is obviously more authentic and the real deal
