Frankly the worker could be on the spectrum. Difficulty picking up social cues is one of the traits of someone who is ASD. Yes, they’re very difficult to deal with. 3 of my staff have ASD and the way to get them to do something is to give them pinpoint instructions. You have to explain unwritten expectations when necessary. You can’t be vague, you can’t just assume they will “just know”. So honestly, if the worker was on the spectrum, this is frankly on the manager for not identifying. Or… they could just be a dick lol
