People do not realize that, depending on load weigh distribution, you cannot just slam the brakes on or you risk fishtailing and hit even more shit. We do not know what this driver was hauling.

That’s not how you do that. Stay in lane and apply the breaks. Yes you are going to hit someone but the risk of changing lanes is greater than to just hit the vehicle on the rear, side, or front. It would be less risky for you the driver.

That driver should have been hard on the brakes as soon as the car went off the road. It’s the cars fault but it could have been prevented.

for those asking why truckers dont hit brakes is they need 1 football field to come to a stop minimum to avoid something like this. if trailers lock up it will be worse than just pushing a car to the side

Obviously the trucker already began to slow down before the car came back on the road. He was able to not only avoid the accident, but also able to stop safely.

why wouldn't all these truckers that you see these videos hit the brakes immediately they know something's going to happen up ahead.. and yes I drive a truck and the brakes work and you could tell that it would be slowing down really quick don't give me that heavy vehicle crap
