They will only look up specific ingredients if you ask about individual ones by name. You have to already know what you're looking for before they'll tell you if it's in your food. When specific ingredients were asked about, Raising Cane's confirmed soybean oil in their chicken fingers, fries, Cane's sauce, honey mustard, sandwich bun, and toast. They also confirmed TBHQ — a preservative derived from butane, banned in Japan and restricted across Europe — in their fried items including chicken fingers and fries. Burger King hid its ingredients for years and was pressured into publishing them — the internet found 120 ingredients in a single chicken sandwich. McDonald's, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Chick-fil-A all publish full ingredient lists publicly. Raising Cane's still refuses. They use fresh chicken. They hand-batter in store. They cook to order.
