@fantasticly4me: Skunk and Charlie It’s 3:30 a.m. 🌙 The night terrors wake me again. They’ve been an unwanted companion since last year. But outside my window comes another familiar presence. The skunk. 🦨 Steady. Reliable. Almost elegant in his permanent formal attire. 🖤🤍 He ambles by without urgency, quietly busy with whatever important business occupies a Chicago skunk at 3:30 in the morning. He keeps to himself. I’ve started to expect him. Even Charlie Chicago tuxedo Cat, fierce defender of our home and self-appointed commander of the night patrol, doesn’t mind him. 🐈⬛ Charlie watches from his post. The skunk wanders past. They seem to have an understanding. 👀🐈⬛🦨 You watch inside. I’ll watch outside. There is something strangely comforting about his reliability. When sleep disappears and the darkness feels a little too familiar, there he is. Not trying to fix anything. Not asking anything from me. Just making his rounds. Quiet. Busy. Dependable. Maybe comfort sometimes arrives in unexpected forms. At 3:30 a.m., mine happens to wear black and white. 🦨🖤🤍 And Charlie does too. 🐈⬛❤️ #night #chicago #tuxedocat #skunk
