If the girls posted a pic of them drinking and smoking while in uniform, then the school can punish them, but if it was some private time then it should be a big NO! Since when dis the school get to tell you what to do on your own family time 🙄

I agree with the school. There were rules to be followed. Catholic schools wanted them to embrace the Christian life, but they didn’t. They were smoking and drinking as if they were adults.

📌 Two days before commencement, the trial court issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) allowing the students to attend. The school barred them anyway, arguing that on the day of the ceremony, its motion for reconsideration of that TRO was still unresolved.That was a separate case. This ruling never touches it.

While a student is enrolled in a particular school, a student is bound to follow the rules written in the Handbook. And that includes rules regulating their behavior outside the school. If the Handbook includes rules like students are not allowed to drink or smoke outside the school, then the student must abide.
