@moviebuff.tt: Tom Hardy improvised a great deal of his dialogue while playing Alfie Solomons—the writers of *Peaky Blinders* (including Steven Knight himself) have confirmed that many of his rants, hesitations, and bizarre digressions weren’t in the original script. Hardy added verbal tics, strange pauses, and outright improvised entire passages during filming. That’s partly why the character has such a unique and unpredictable quality on screen—almost as if Alfie were losing his train of thought while speaking, which fits perfectly with his unstable and manipulative nature.
