@chaseweime: Once the second largest mall in all of Ohio, Forest Fair Mall, would be memorialized for its kitschy design aesthetic that featured a nautical themed food court and flying pigs! Opening in 1988, Forest Fair Village was troubled from the start. Within the first year of operation, three of its anchor stores surprisingly shuttered and the owner of the mall went bankrupt. In the years following, the Cincinnati Mall went through several renovations and name changes with new owners coming in to pick up the pieces. When I visited this mall with my sister @gabi in September 2020, the last tenants that remained were a comic book store and a gym. With storefronts that were never occupied, dead on arrival Forest Fair Village was demolished in 2026. For more information, I implore you to watch @Dan Bell’s video discussing Cincinnati Mills on YouTube. I have been a longtime fan of his work and dead malls in general. Please enjoy these images I captured from my first and only visit to The Malls of Forest Fair. #deadmall #liminalspaces #cincinnati

My mom went to a homemade haunted house there in the early 2000s, said it was scarier than anything around here now

This mall was so beautiful when it first opened, the Mills company destroyed it with their kitschy updates [Crying] The massive arcade and the hot air balloon ferris wheel inside it was so magical as a kid.

💯💯💯💯 And the worst part about FFM, being torn down is that they didn't even use any of the materials over. we have specific businesses like building value.... In nor side that will tear things apart and resell the usable materials that they didn't even think about that. It's ridiculous the bullshit that they did to that mall💯😳

Rest in peace. In 2021 I got to explore inside the movie theaters before they locked them up. Outside of every show room there was a sign that said “silence your pagers” 😞😢

It could have been affordable housing. It could have been a mix of housing and businesses. They didn't even consider anything better, they just tore it down, trashed everything
