Doesn’t freezing your grains also convert the carbs to resistant starch?

I keep flour, meal, etc in the refrigerator not freezer. You can also freeze nuts, and butter, they last forever. I vacuum seal meat.

absolutely I do this every few months I get my collards my kale my green beans and peas snap peas blanch them just a little bit I boil my water down put a little bit of seasoning just the chicken base that's it no fat like butter no just the chicken base little black pepper let the water bowl put the green beans down soon as they come up color take them out and shop them and cold icy cold water to stop the cooking process drain real good lay them out on parchment so they can dry a little bit more and then put them up in the freezer collard greens you just want to whip them boil down your water chicken stock or beef stock little black pepper again no fat no butter you can do that on the reheat just the water the chicken base or beef base or vegetable base stock.. wilt your kale your college you turnips greens take them out shock them and icy cold water to stop the cooking process drain all the water out and then bag and freeze I do it all the time that way I don't have to run out to get fresh vegetables and I'm spending less by cooking three to five pounds of collard greens three to five pounds of green beans I break it down into smaller increments using the large Ziploc bags so now for a month I got fresh vegetables I can just grab out of my freezer and saute and season them to finish them off..

Apparently I’m a hoarder. I’m not worried about the stuff that’s been in the freezer for 8 months, I’m worried about the items that have been in there for 8 years. You did say forever

make that water you place in the freezer salted water mark as such so no one drinks it. Salt water has a lower freeze point so in a power outage will keep everything else colder

Do the same scrap- bag-in-freezer for fruit! That mixture of fruits can turn into a beautiful smoothie where you can add fresh juice or even liquor for an adult beverage.

If you are from a culture where the prep of rice is considered an art, do NOT freeze the rice because the water in the cooked grain will freeze, burst and shatter the rice. This, of course, isn't a chemical change but a physical change, so if don't mind the way it looks, freeze it. This way you are also lowering the glycemic index, which you can also do by refrigerating the rice.
