@maximayfern6: LYIDMN Part 9 Lena's POV It's been a month since I confessed to her I didn't stop talking and seeing her after what happened but every day feels heavy. Damn it I'm so miserable, and great pretender that after what happened I used to see her and talk to her because I loved her. The bar is almost empty. I sat alone at the counter, several empty glasses in front of me. I feel dizzy, and I can barely keep myself awake. "I think you've had enough. Do you have someone I can call?" the bartender asked me. "I don't need anyone. I'm fine" "You can barely stand. And you're definitely not driving home like this." The bartender checks my phone on the table and I think he calls someone. " I'm calling Miu." after what he said I suddenly looked up Miu...? "No... don't call her." "Someone has to take you home." He said. I ignored him instead of drinking another glass of alcohol. "Lena..." after I heard a familiar voice that's why I slowly looked at her and smiled "Oh... you're here." "Of course I'm here. The bartender said you were drunk and couldn't drive." she said "I didn't ask you to come." "I know. But I couldn't just leave you here." she said then help me to stand, but I pulled her hand slowly away. "Why do you always do that?" "Do what?" "Come running whenever I need you." I said "Because you're my friend." I froze for a moment after what I heard. "Friend.." "Lena, you're drunk. Let's go home." "No. I want to talk." "We can talk tomorrow." "Tomorrow I'll be sober... and I'll pretend again." I said that's why she looked at me confused. "Pretend what?" I laughs bitterly "That I'm okay." my voice started to crack because of trying to stop my tears. She looks down, tears forming in her eyes. "I went here because I didn't know what else to do after I told you how I feel." "Lena.." "I knew you didn't feel the same way. I knew you only saw me as a friend. But I still hoped... even just a little." I said "I'm sorry." "Don't say sorry." I said then wipes my tears. "Do you know how painful it is to love someone who looks at you and only sees a friend?" I added "Lena, please.." "I tried to stop. I really did. Every time you smiled at me, every time you called my name, every time you stayed beside me... I kept thinking maybe someday you'd feel the same." "But you never did." I said " I didn't know you were hurting this much." she said while wiping her tears. "That's because I never wanted you to know." I said then looked at her straight. "Because if you knew, you'd feel sorry for me. And I don't want your pity, Miu. I just wanted you to love me." "Lena.." "Quietly I wish you could love me the way I love you." after what I said there is a long silence. "Let's go home, Lena." "I don't want to go home." "Why?" "Because when I wake up tomorrow... I'll have to remember that you still don't love me." She gently takes my hand. "You don't have to face tonight alone." I look at our hands and quietly cries "That's the problem, Miu..." "What?" " You're always there when I need you.." I looked at her with tears in my eyes. "..but you'll never be mine." She has no answer. She simply holds my hand as we slowly walk out of the bar together. MIU'S HOUSE I laid on her bed and held my head It hurts. "What are you doing?" I said because she's holding a towel and tub. "I will wipe your body so that you can sleep comfortably " she said and started to wipe my arms. "Miu..." "I'm sorry Lena for making you feel this way" she said then looked at me. "Don't say sorry" I said and after a minute she's done. "Goodnight " she said then slowly patted my head. "Miu" I said but she just smiled at me. "Let's talk tomorrow, for now just sleep and take a rest" "I love you Miu" I said but she already went outside. I sighed deeply and stare at the ceiling while slowly fell the tears from my eyes.
