The whole movie you think King Agnarr and Queen Iduna died in that shipwreck, but it turns out the new villain, Lady Caelia, held them captive in an ice dungeon for YEARS. Why? Because Caelia is a dark glacier spirit and she’s literally ELSA’S TRUE BIOLOGICAL MOTHER. Agnarr and Iduna couldn't have a child with magic, so they made a pact with Caelia years ago, but Caelia regretted giving her up and locked the royals away out of revenge! Cut to the final showdown Elsa defeats Caelia using Ahtohallan's memory magic, which forces Caelia to remember her forgotten bond with Elsa, making her realize mid-fight that she's been trying to destroy her own daughter this whole time! Caelia retreats in shock, Elsa and Anna finally free their parents, and the movie ends with Agnarr and Iduna walking Anna down the aisle at her wedding with Kristoff. I was literally SOBBING when I saw the leak

My theory. I think the villain is actually the first chosen Fifth Spirit. However, she did something cruel that caused her to become a villain. Because of this, the other spirits helped imprison her in a dungeon, where she could only be freed once a new Fifth Spirit was chosen. Now that Elsa has become the new Fifth Spirit, she is finally free and ready to seek revenge. Her goal is to take Elsa’s powers and reclaim her title as the true Fifth Spirit.
