@gospelart.org: Over the years, lot and lot of Heresies have invaded the church due to people using their personal desires or limited understanding to interpret what the scripture teaches. Heresies like killing your enemies have indeed developed bitterness in the church and reduced love. Dangerous interpretation of scriptures can only cause us more harm than good if there be any good at all. We can only understand God’s Word when we let go of our self and allow the Spirit lead us through. Only dead men I.e men who are crucified with Christ can understand the scriptures. 2corintians3:15-16 Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one[a] turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. The Holy Spirit is here to guide us into all truth. John 16:13 says “However when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth; for He shall not speak from Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak; and He will show you things to come.” If you are struggling to understand the scriptures, it is time to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.
