I think it’s the other way around.

As a pedestrian AND a driver, I hate when bikers do not follow the rules. It is extremely unsafe for them to be biking anywhere other than the bike lane. The road has cars much faster than bikes, and bikers crossing over slows down traffic and causes more congestion. Bikers riding on the sidewalk is dangerous for pedestrians, and we do not want to get run over by cyclists. Stay on the bike lane, otherwise just walk, or drive. Toronto has a great public transportation system, take the TTC

I don’t have a problem with cyclists. I always move away if they’re on the shoulder. My issues is if they’re blocking the road. Move over!

follow the rules of the road, or stay off the road. that's my entire problem. follow the rules, no issue. however, rarely do cyclists follow the rules.

I get annoyed when cyclists don't obey traffic laws. They often go through stop signs and reduce lights. We must give them space, but they don't give is that same space in return. I say this as both a driver AND a cyclist.

I can assure you I am one thousand percent more annoyed by the e-bikes on the sidewalks who nearly hit me when I’m walking. Bike on brother, just don’t hit me on the sidewalk ✌️

IIts the entitlement. InCanada they will take up the entire lane and not let cars pass. If you ask them why they say "because we can".

They want everything both ways, they want to use the roads but then don’t follow the rules of the roads

As a driver I love a bike lane because I know where the bike is and should be. I get frustrated with cyclists who change from the road rules to pedestrian rules back and forth so when I’m driving I can’t anticipate what they are going to do so I am on edge

Privilege and entitlement. They are the ones with the highest capacity to harm on the road but they want to blame others for them having to be responsible for that.

Here are some points for you: (1) not stopping at lights/stop signs (2) once a driver has safely passed you then coming up and lane splitting at a red just to have the driver have to pass you again

For some reason this is a conservative issue. Especially in Alberta. I don’t know why

I live in a small community 20 mins north of London ontario. I do not hate cyclists. Hell I love bike riding, BUT for me it is the large packs of the really hard core enthusiasts that ride 2 and 3 abreast about 15 to 20 deep down the semi back roads we take every day. THEY DO NOT MOVE. I am one to patiently wait for thw farm equipment on these roads and even the cyclists but when they refused to fall back to single file and then start filming with self sticks to get good content and almost swirving into my car as I pass (hell I even slow down as I do), I take offence. Weekends are the worst there are HOARDS of these packs. Now not all are like this and to that, thank you this is how we share the road.

I started riding my bike again in Toronto because the infrastructure has improved over the last 20 years. what appaled me were the cyclists who flew by me, didn't obey the laws. im sitting at a bike traffic signal and guys on bikes just slow down and go. its not the majority of cyclists but its a lot probably close to half didnt obey the signage.

cyclists depend on everyone else following the letter of the law for their safety but then treat their own rules as optional

I only don’t like it when they don’t follow the rules of the road that everyone else has to follow. Such as not stopping at a red light and just continuing across the intersection regardless of on coming traffic 🙃

Because cyclists don't follow the rules consistently so I never know what they are going to do and this raises my anxiety. I don't want to hurt anyone but the way so many ride is scary and it's put on drivers to keep them safe. Well designed bike lanes is 🔥 but crappy ones don't help

i’m pro bike lane. i only hate cyclists when there’s no bike lane and there’s not enough room to go around them. BUT DONT BIKE IN THE MIDDLE OF A LANE WITH CARS IF UR NOT GONNA GO FAST ENOUGH

The reason is exactly what you pointed out.Its not the cyclist per se it’s the removal of a lane for a bike lane causing more gridlock. Traffic is extremely bad

they don't follow the rules of the road.... if they did I would have no issue with them... it's not difficult. and there's an answer to this. you need a license to drive a car on a road. you need a license to drive a bike on a road..

There’s a two lane dedicated bike path for cyclists near where I commute and they still ride on the road going 20 under. What is the point of having dedicated bike lanes if they go unused ?
