I think the rewarding but about npc bandits is that there is actually a use to barricade your base heavily. With zomboids, you dont have hordes that come to your base (unless you have a mod or alart them. but with bandits you can prepare for an attack of Raiders which is cool.

You’ve NEVER been the last sole survivor. Helicopter event, people screaming, gunshots, radio broadcasts, etc. there has ALWAYS been others out there canonically.

Nah, when u die u can just create a new char in that same seed. So thats just not canon. Also? Chopper event? Random screams? Gunshots?

This is just wrong though, even in the current non npc version the implication is that you are certainly not the last survivor, there are meta events all the time of other survivors shooting int the distance or screaming, there are groups of survivors that will spawn in dead (that were clearly surviving). There are survivor houses, there is the helicopter event, etc. npcs will just bring these things to the forefront

I feel like the npcs won't be anything like the ones in the bandit mod. I just want to see a person in their home getting attacked by zombies or someone running getting chased across the street or something. I'd just want meta event NPCs essentially. Maybe a military convoy comes through or something rarely.

If you were supposed to feel like the last survivor there wouldn’t be screams, gunshots and helicopters. I think npc’s would be chill. Maybe a small trade town. And maybe being able to get them to protect your base.

the thing is lore wise, the apocalypse is currently happening, you're not the last human. the best way to do it is to have it be rare, and dangerous. like you'll meet a survivor, who's scraping by and scavenging, and just hope that they don't attack you
