Marvel didn’t want to do Kang, they wanted Jonathan Majors and picked Kang as a character he could play, so there was no interest in recasting him.

I don’t care if Quantumania was good or bad. Kang was the best part and I was excited for the Kang Dynasty. But I’ve lost faith in Marvel because they dropped it and replaced it with Dumbsday, and that’s why I hate dr doom!

Honestly, how do you come back from being defeated by ants, the idea of kang seemed like a great idea. But once that happened, it was pretty much done

But if you watched the movie, he didn’t die. He just shrunk even more. Ant man got beaten up damn near to death. Also in the epilogue as Scott is walking down the street, you could see kangs colors are everywhere

There was no reason not to have recasted. Even black panther (r.i.p the actor) but there was no reason to killing off the character. I don’t get why Hollywood is afraid of recasting these days.

The writers just completely botched Quantumania, when he's the CONQUEROR and loses to the Ant Family he had no chance to feel like THE credible threat with the general audience.
