Oh my - I found out 4 days before Christmas 😭😭 it was the worst. Christmas, New Years, my birthday, VDay, and our anniversary all followed within a 2~ month period 😭😭 truly struggled. And then I moved out a month after our 4 year anniversary. Now it’s been 8 months since the break up and I’m in therapy. 🖤

Similar I worked more to provide more. Took over every aspect of home life, cleaning, cooking, laundry the works. Made more time for date nights weekly, became even more involved in son’s day to day life. After a year it still was not enough or good enough. The knowledge if I couldn’t make it work, I would lose access to my son as I was threatened with daily. Not many realize just how few rights a father has when not married to the kids. That fear of and knowledge of how the family court system works. Kept me staying well beyond the time I should have ended it. Plenty more behind the scenes besides infidelity that was present. Some might understand has been 6 years, and only this cpl years have I been able to decorate the walls.
