Yes I remember from 1988 , all the decent stores are gone ,you never had to go to the West End for anything .Westfield being so close didn't help also the quality of the whole area has collapsed 😡 Nuff said !

Was born in Ilford 1974. The old maternity hospital next to what is now the flats next to sainsbury/Newbury Park Station. Lived most of my life in Ilford, used to be a nice place. Moved away to Chelmsford 15 years ago. The best move ever. I go back regularly as I have family there. The place is now awful.

I was born here, lived here for 30 years, Itvwas a lovely area, community, well mannered people, the stores were brilliant. Unfortunately it’s a terrible and unsafe place to live in now.
