@americancrimetruecrime: FOUND SAFE| ABDUCTED SISTERS FOUND IN ATLANTA Two young Atlanta sisters, Zola, 4, and Norah Cooper, 11 months, were rescued on August 17, 2026, after being abducted by Lakesha Brown, a trusted babysitter with a prior kidnapping history- Police found the children in a southwest Atlanta trailer following an Amber Alert and arrested Brown, who had previously posed as a friend to the mother, Elica Redding Lakesha Brown, allegedly spent an entire year calculating her moves to gain the mother's trust The mother, Elica, met Brown through a Facebook group for expectant mothers Brown initially reached out by offering services—including free hair braiding, pedicures, and massages—specifically tailored for pregnant women Over the course of a year, Brown embedded herself into the family's life, successfully positioning herself as a trusted close friend On Saturday August 15, around 6:00 PM, Redding left her daughters in Brown's care When Brown failed to return the children, she began misleading the mother to stall for time- According to investigators, Brown sent texts claiming she was on her way back, and later fabricated a story that she had been involved in a car accident Because Redding initially believed these excuses, she delayed calling 911. Authorities were first dispatched around 10:30 PM on Sunday night for what was initially treated as a custody dispute, before the Special Victims Unit realized it was a kidnapping and escalated the search- Neighbors at an apartment complex alerted officers to a specific trailer on the property While searching the area, detectives heard the distinct sound of a baby crying from inside the trailer Lakesha Brown remains in custody without a bond. Atlanta investigators discovered she has an active, outstanding warrant from Alabama for failing to appear in court for a similar child abduction case that took place five years ago FOLLOW ME ON FB 31K FOLLOWERS 🫶 #fyp #CrimeNews #FoundSafe #Atlanta #Crime
