I really want a feature at the bottom of the screen that says how many pages I’ve read out of the pages in the book

Mine started asking me if I need a recap if it’s been awhile since I read and it’s actually an option at anytime! I was so pumped

X-ray is great, but it has to be enabled, per-book by the publisher. They have to encode the extra information before you can access it. Don’t know when I last bought a book that actually had it as an option.

Basic missing features that I’d expect to be standard. No xray really Amazon?! I’m really considering switching to a KoBo.

I just tried this and it gave me a spoiler as their surname has changed so they’re clearly getting married 🥹🥹🥹🥹

it doesn’t work for a lot of books, I guess the publisher has to do something with the ebook extra when they give it to Amazon. But if you ever lose track of who a character is, just press and hold their name, then click search this book and it’ll take you to the introduction of the character in the book so you refresh yourself.

I love the recap option as well- especially on fantasy books! It just gives you a little recap of the book up until that point 🤍

You can also just tap and hold on any name/place/thing as you’re reading and it comes up☺️most genious Kindle feature! Also it says in Kindle Store if the book has X-ray or not, so you’ll know before u buy!

😳 I'm going to start using it! I've been highlighting character names and leaving notes to be able to go back when I get confused about who is who. 🤣 This is so much easier.

Click top > 3 dots > xray. Or skip to halfway through the video before she starts talking about what this feature actually is

Definitely good to note that it only works on books bought directly from Amazon, books acquired from elsewhere it won't work on.
