@justinserran: Stylized rotoscope effect in After Effects, full breakdown. Save this 👇🏼 1. Ramp slow-mo the clip first. 2. Duplicate it, rotoscope your subject. 3. First frame into Firefly Boards, remove subject, generate a retro background with Nano Banana 2. 4. Run Aleph 2.0: original footage as motion reference, retro frame as first frame. Retro BG that moves like your real shot. 5. In AE, retro BG under your roto layer, set track matte to the roto layer to cut the subject out. 6. Hit Invert Matte so only the subject is cut out. 7. Duplicate the roto layer and style: tint red, Deep Glow, VHS scan lines. 8. Make 3-4 versions (white on black, red on black, red on retro, white on retro, transparent cutout on retro). 9. Generate a batch of designs in Firefly, pre-comp as a fast sequence, place under the cutout to fill the subject during your hero moment. 10. Adjustment layer up top, Posterize Time at 12fps for the choppy shutter look. 11. Run Tracery for the boxes and lines around the subject. 12. Cut between versions to flicker before and after the trick. Save the texture-fill for the biggest moment. 13. Sound design sells it. Don't skip it. Follow for more AE breakdowns.
