As someone from Osaka, let me just comment this! If you want to eat takoyaki, go residential area! There are tons of cheap and delicious places there! But if you don’t speak Japanese, a translator is a must.

Osaka castle was boring af. Same with all the temples. Tokyo is still the place to be for shopping/eating/entertainment. And i love historic destinations, there’s just nothing special about it. You can literally just spend 30 mins there and leave
