Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani in Islamabad, welcoming him and his delegation to Pakistan. 🇵🇰🇸🇾 The meeting focused on strengthening the historic and brotherly Pakistan-Syria relationship and expanding practical cooperation in political, defence, trade, investment, education and human resource development. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, including Pakistan’s support for Syria’s position on the Golan Heights. The two sides also discussed the restoration of direct flights between Pakistan and Syria, which would help strengthen people-to-people contacts and facilitate Pakistani visitors to Syria. Foreign Minister Al-Shaibani conveyed President Ahmad Al-Sharaa’s warm wishes to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and briefed him on Syria’s political situation and reconstruction efforts.
