@startoverstrategy: Replying to @AnjaWorks When I lost my job after a difficult surgery recovery, I couldn’t simply go out and find another one. So I gave myself a job. I started paying attention to what people in my community actually needed and began offering services through simple social media posts and freelance work. No elaborate business plan. No perfect systems. No huge investment. I just started. A few months later, I have something I didn’t have when I began: Proof of concept. People are actually hiring me. And now that I can see what this business could become, I’m starting to formalize it—building better systems, talking to other business owners, and pursuing small-business coaching through my state. And then there’s the home reset side of the business. Although I’m increasingly moving toward professional organizing, home resets are still an incredibly accessible service to offer. The barrier to entry is low, the overhead can be minimal, and there is real demand for helping people get their homes back under control. That’s one of the things I love about service-based businesses: You can start with what people need right now and let the business evolve as you learn. Something that started because I was desperate to create an income is becoming something I’m genuinely excited about. And honestly? I’m just getting started. #StartOverStrategy #ServiceBasedBusiness #ProfessionalOrganizing #WomenStartingBusinesses #GiveYourselfAJob
