but afande the main purpose of the law is to restore harmony and peace within th society, it is one of the advised means and once the parties reconcile and enter into a Reconciliation Agreement, after it has been endorsed by Court not even Court itself can set it aside. Imprisonment is only punitive and exemplary in nature with the sole aim of barring the perpetrators but if the families can harmonise amicably that is much better
