@chronic.ells: When the NHS keep telling you you’re too complex to help… So frustrating! I know soooo many of us with chronic illnesses hear this all the time. My GP surgery are actually now saying I’m too complex and they cannot look after me anymore 😭 My instructions are now to go to A&E for any problem…
Yes that’s a perfectly normal thing to say as GPs can’t treat you, they deal with warts and colds and minor issues. AnE has more services to help when your case is complex and medical needs are immediate

I think it has a lot to do with the doctors no longer being paid to treat patients who need hospital treatment.

Yep. But I never would have become this "complex" if I hadn't experienced so much incompetence and neglect from the NHS in the first place

what they mean is too expensive unfortunately. I had a gp genuinely tell me I was too expensive a patient for their practice

Too severe for community mental health but I've not gone completely off the rails yet so I can't get specialist help

All I ever heard was ‘you’re a complex complicated case’ 🙄 which translates to: they have no clue what to do

NHS told me my heart issues were all in my head so got diagnosed with private healthcare care…Then tried to go back to the NHS but the NHS cardiologist turned me away because the diagnosis was too complicated… like what?! 😂😂

my last appointment was my neurosurgeon telling me there's definitely a major issue with my spinal chord but no surgery he can risk trying to fix it and I need to stop using morphine because it's going to cause issues later on so he's stopping the prescription. I'm 29 and the plan of action is to just suffer until it gets so bad I'd be paralysed anyway and then he will consider trying to reverse it🤣 and what do you even say to that and you know it's coming because they start with saying I'm sorry every time

I went to A&E basically every week in absolute AGONY between October and February and kept getting sent home.
Finally got admitted and the doctor goes “you should’ve come in sooner” 😂😭
SIR??? I HAVE BEEN COMING IN???
Turns out I had 10 gallstones stuck in my bile duct and my body was literally poisoning itself. He then casually tells me if I hadn’t come in when I did, I could’ve died.
Funsies x 💀

So much for our NHS 😡 Too complex, what does that mean medically? Today we are hearing more amazing discoveries and new treatments yet having a body that is not functioning properly is too complex. Utterly unacceptable ❤️

My therapist taught me to think of it differently so instead of believing I’m ‘complex’ like doctors had brain washed me with, it’s actually the medical professionals who don’t have the skill or resources to treat all patients. It’s them, not us💕
