My heart is breaking!! She will be okay🩷My 2yo frenchie had a suspected IVDD flare in February. He got back to his playful crazy self after 6 weeks of strict rest, an anti inflammatory, and a red light I got on Amazon. We are just more careful now, no jumping, long walks, stairs, or rough play. Prayers

Crate rest for at least 4 weeks. Carry her to potty and back to crate rest. Order a red light therapy band from Amazon and use it on her daily.

I’m so sorry. This is the worst thing about frenchies. Mine hurt her back jumping on the coach one time. Thankfully she didn’t lose control of her back legs though. She does have flair ups and I have to be insanely careful with her. My husband thinks I’m crazy I’m so careful with her, but he hasn’t seen the amount of paralyzed frenchies I have.

Big hug. The same happened to my Shih-Tzu at 3,5 years old. She had a dislocated disc and needed surgery and physiotherapy. She’s now 12,5 years old and perfectly alright. I hope Trixie will be better soon.

Just went through it… gabapentin, prednisone, and an anti-inflammatory shot with lots of rest. My pup was walking again within 1 day… I know this is a case by case but hopefully your pup gets well soon! 💞

Very common in this breed , and for some it gets better others , they end up with a wheelchair , a little doggie , wheelchair.
