My theory is it was kissy missy who wrote the note and sent it out by orders by the toy resistance to gain rich (the players) help. I can explain why I believe this: we've seen kissy is a good drawer based off that small sequence in chapter 3

I think it was Leith Pierre. He wasn't killed during The Hour of Joy and I think there's something in Playtime Co. he wants found. I doubt The Player was the only employee not there that day and he's just been sending any leftover employees he can there. Why else would Huggy Wuggy be guarding the upper floor? What use would he serve up there pretending to be a statue if not to be a guard?

preston, poppy was in her cage, sawyer, the prototype, and lily dont recognize us (we were most likely a lower ranking employee like richard for example) preston was a scientist who originally started out as a lower ranked employee he probably knew us or at least, came into contact with us. given how only miss delight and mommy long legs recognized us we were never anywhere near the labs (where sawyer, ollie, and lily mainly resided) and preston only became a toy AFTER the hour. plus it had to have been someone who knew our address; the ppt orientation notebook was created for the player as a new employee and preston gave his own little personal bits of information, he probably figured out our address by this. preston cannot move so this one fact does contradict all of this, but he makes the most sense. also poppy saw preston and jessica newman hiding after the hour and chose not to say anything. since the prototype canonically uses preston as his own personal “therapist” he probably told preston that poppy got thrown in her case; preston im sure wanted to free her somehow as a way to repay her for not revealing where he and dr. newman were hiding. tldr: preston willard makes the most sense

I actually think it's Miss Gracie before turned into a toy/when she still had some sanity because she was scared of the prototype and was hoping that someone could save her (even tho NO ONE would after what she has done.)
