I just got approved for affordable housing.. a lot of places I didn't make enough. Other places, I made too much. It's so frustrating.. on top of that, I spent 500+ on fees

we will always be in a housing crisis. I'm not gonna tell you my age, but that's how long it's been going on. there will always be those that have and those who have not. look at these movies that they create Like Divergent or The Hunger Games.

Yup I paid off all my credit and still couldn’t get approved in the hood!! In the fking hood! I had to pay $10,000 just to get in! To RENT! Smh 🤦🏻♀️

My wife and I said screw these high rents and moved into a big cargo van. Our businesses started thriving, almost done with student loans, half the bills or less, WE ARE FINALLY FREE!

Not sure if this will be helpful for everyone but there are companies like "the guarantors" and jetty than can possibly help in these kinds of situations. Also ngl the reason I work in property management (at least one of them) is because A.housing discount and b. PM companies don't always run a credit check to live at one of their properties

It’s the 3x the rent that’s getting people regardless of credit. The wages stayed the same and these prices are going UP

I said this like I remember being denied for one and I asked them to show me what caused the denial they showed me two things, one was a bill for $29 and the other was a little over a $100. Bills I forgot about that weren't on my experian but despite me being able to afford it they denied me until I paid them

It really is stupid because I was trying to move to find cheaper rent I don’t need to pay or live where I am currently so I was looking to move. Unfortunately I didn’t meet my deadline, but I also that denied because of an old eviction from four years ago that I have proof that it’s paid in full the property that I was trying to rent is $500 less than what I’m paying now and my credit is pretty good not the best and other places are rented after that eviction or all paid on time without a miss payment and I make well over three times the rent now it’s really stupid

750 credit score. Pay my debt on time and the balances decrease not increase at this point. Don’t hold a zero balance for more than a month at a time because they’d either lower my credit limit or close the card which would probably cause it to plummet. I overpay and I know it for the unit I’m in. If I tried to find another place now….more than likely with the nonsense rules they have, I’d be homeless.

that's why when my mom got section 8 I kept her low income because they asking for to much just to rent a basic run down apartment and Chicago I'm thankful because I would be homeless because all the rules
