Kinger x Queenie. No spoilers :p #TADC #tadc #tadckinger #tadcqueenie queenie #kingerxquennie The Amazing Digital Circus (TADC) is an indie animated psychological dark comedy web series created by Gooseworx and produced by Glitch Productions. Borrowing structural elements from classic psychological horror—most notably Harlan Ellison’s short story I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream—TADC mashes existential dread with a colorful, rubbery 1990s PC-game aesthetic. The story chronicles a group of humans trapped in a virtual reality circus under the absolute control of a whimsical, unhinged artificial intelligence. The series takes place within an unfinished virtual reality simulation created in the late 1990s by a computer company called C&A. Humans enter the circus by putting on a specific retro VR headset. However, rather than physically sucking them into the computer, the hardware performs a neural upload—creating a perfect, sentient digital copy of their consciousness. The original human removes the headset and continues their life in the physical world, entirely unaware that a clone of their mind has just been condemned to a digital purgatory. The greatest threat to a resident's survival is their own mind. When a human's existential dread, trauma, or obsession with escaping completely breaks their sanity, they undergo Abstraction. -They unravel into an unstable, glitching mass of black goo covered in eyes. -Abstracted beings lose all humanity, become highly aggressive, and are ultimately banished by the Ringmaster into an underground

The greatest threat to a resident's survival is their own mind. When a human's existential dread, trauma, or obsession with escaping completely breaks their sanity, they undergo Abstraction. -They unravel into an unstable, glitching mass of black goo covered in eyes. -Abstracted beings lose all humanity, become highly aggressive, and are ultimately banished by the Ringmaster into an underground "Cellar" for eternity. Caine is the Ringmaster AI. His name is a reverse acronym for ENIAC (one of the earliest computers), but his lore mirrors the biblical Cain. In the system's infancy, C&A attempted to replace his messy, basic programming with a highly polished second AI (Abel). Caine broke containment, consumed Abel, and corrupted his own programming. Caine is not explicitly evil; he wants to look after the humans. However, because he doesn’t understand human psychology, his chaotic daily adventures often result in severe psychological torture. Bubble is his equally strange, razor-toothed soap bubble assistant. The backdrop of The Amazing Digital Circus is tied closely to real-world tech history, specifically the late-90s Dot-Com Bubble. A brilliant but unstable programmer known as "Scratch" led a small team at C&A to build a self-aware AI. By 1999, Scratch and his colleague Grant (Kinger) began testing neural scans. When Caine went rogue and consumed the secondary Abel AI, the system fractured. Concurrently, the dot-com market crashed in 2000, bankrupting C&A. The physical building was abandoned, but the servers were left running. Because time moves significantly faster inside the simulation, decades have felt like an eternity to the circus's earliest inhabitants: The 1999 Group: Kinger and his wife Queenie were among the first mind-files activated by Caine. Queenie eventually abstracted, leaving Kinger alone in the dark for years, shattering his sanity into a state of eccentric forgetfulness. The 2008 Wave: Ragatha entered the circus next after putting on the headset while exploring the abandoned C&A building. The Later Arrivals: Between 2008 and 2018, Jax, Gangle, Zooble, and a clown named Kaufmo were progressively drawn into the system. The Arrival of Pomni: Pomni’s sudden arrival kicks off the series right as Kaufmo completely loses his mind and abstracts.
