What this man is saying is actually true . I know some people who are frafra and they got converted to Islam . So each time any of their daughters are wants to get married the imam will ask the parents of the lady , do you want them to pay the dowry which includes 4 cows,sheeps,goats,cocks and a lot of things but the parents will say no because they believe that are now Muslims and to portray the beauty of their religion. So the man will not pay all this things but if it’s a Christian der hmmmm. So please it’s not about traditional marriage or white weeding. I don't think it's because of marriage list that's why guys are not getting married, but the cost of the event itself and no one force anybody to have big wedding

You have a good point. Great submission. But marriage is mainly a family and determined by culture. The church can only advocate and press on society to make changes and help young-to-be couples.

We know tradition is important but let’s be honest some of the things in some list are unnecessary. A friend of mine went a list and he discussed with the lady if somethings could be taken off but they said it’s tradition. He was not comfortable buying a sewing machine meanwhile the lady didn’t know how to sow. And other stuff.
