Hey vet here probably a Hotspot! But could be a prick from a grass seed, shave it out to make sure there’s no grass seeds in it and use salt water to wash it. Make up a paste of cornflour and water or use a bit of livestock blue spray/silver spray on it! Will heal up right as rain

I have westies, both do this. It's allergies which are pretty common for them. You can try changing her food or go to the vet. My dog used to have some sort of foot soak where it was to help clean it up because it causes bacteria build up if i remember correctly, nowadays she only itches at it if she eats something that triggers her allergies

Could be allergies, my dog got that on all of his paws and around his mouth. Turns out he was allergic to his food. You should take him to the vet to find out

westies get a lot of allergies. ours was allergic to the food and had the same thing with the paws! then we chamged her food and it stopped

Hiiii! I also have a Westie, they are genetically predisposed to dermatitis :( contact your vet so that they can prescribe you a cream to apply to her paws. Plus, make sure to wash and dry her paws on a regular basis

my grandmother had a westie and they are terrible for allergies!! the vet said you’d go crazy trying to find out what exactly they are allergic to and it could even be just plain dust! she got prescribed a daily antihistamine so that might be a possible solution. love little emma and wish her the best ❤️

Vet here. If it’s just one foot, likely traumatic origin. Do what the vet said on cleaning in the other comment. If it’s multiple feet or she’s getting dark ear wax or scratching at her ears it could be food but that’s only 15% or so of all allergies. Chicken and veg are the most likely. It’s never wrong to switch to a fish based food anyway for the extra omegas. But clean it and keep her from licking for about 5 days. After that may need a vet to look at her and maybe antibiotics or nsaids/allergy medications
