Sometimes having that man to man talk is what’s needed. Chris seems like a great guy. I’m so happy for you both. Also, I’m sure it’s different state to state and I forgot what it’s called but there’s programs through the state that will pay family members (POA’s) a caregivers wage for caring for the elderly. Please look into that because you deserve compensation for your time and personal expenses; whether you can afford it or not, you should be compensated and not be penalized with higher tax brackets. this sounds silly but would a visual chart of pictures of everyone’s faces next to how he “knows them/the relationship they have” in hopes of things become less confusing for him in his head if he sees a visual everyday that you caitlin are his friend and not wife

Honestly the attitude switch of your friend sounds a lot like what my dad went through after his stroke. Apparently depending on the side or area affected it can make them more impulsive (aka, remove their filter.) You're doing great. 💕

I have an important question!!!! is the trust fund set up as a Revokable Living Trust?? if not - PLEASE look into it.... my dad set his estate up this way so when he passed I was able to immediately access things.. and thank goodness for that! he had two houses, second house was an apartment building. it also cost me $6k for his funeral, which obviously couldn't wait. Without the trust set up that way, I would NOT have been able to manage things at all when I first lost him! I hope the lawyer set you up this way 🤞🏻
