9/10 times the inmates want to be spoken and treated to as a human. They are used to being treated like shit, be a decent human and you’ll have a decent day. Some will take advantage of you, I usually give everyone 1 chance and I’m known for it. You take advantage of me, I don’t give you much that whole week, next week, we start new, but your chance is gone. Pod I work everyday everyone always had problems, I had problems for 1 day and everyone understood how I run it and now it’s the calmest pod in the building while I’m on the floor. They don’t put me anywhere else now or there will be 10+ calls just on that pod alone.

As an inmate all of you guys that worked in any kind of correctional facility, you did half the time we did so if you did 20 years there, you spent 10 years in prison.

I used to tell inmates...we can do this the easy way or the real easy way! Firm but fair. Be truthful & do not B.S them then pop smoke cus you lied or twisted the story. Know the gray area between yes & hell no. This is a thinking person game with inmates. They try to be 1 up on the staff and we try to be 5 steps up ahead of them. The job turned me into a people's person!!! Be safe ladies & gents.
