Jarhead is one of the most accurate movies. Boredom, frustration, and dysfunction are what our real deployments were like. And then putting in all that effort and misery in their training, just for some officer to come along and cancel the real mission, completely accurate.

tears of the sun was fictional from the start it was purely entertainment it wasn't supposed to be realistic. We were soldiers and Lone Survivor were both overseen by people who were actually there and depicted real events.

You're not speaking for most vets. Those of us, who were there, found We Were Soldiers to be accurate and Hal Moore to be the best commander we ever served with.
