Okay, THIS is the kind of fall dinner we need more of. 😮💨 Juicy seared pork chops finished in a glossy apple cider pan sauce with caramelized apples, crispy sage, and creamy sweet potato mash. Sweet, savory, buttery, and perfect for a cozy night in. Recipe👇 Ingredients: 4 bone-in pork chops 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed 2 apples, diced 1 cup apple cider ½ cup chicken broth 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp olive oil 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbsp Dijon mustard 1 tbsp brown sugar 1 tsp fresh thyme 8–10 fresh sage leaves ½ cup heavy cream ½ tsp cinnamon Salt and black pepper Instructions: 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the sweet potatoes and cook for 15–20 minutes, until fork tender. 2. Drain the potatoes and mash with 2 tbsp butter, heavy cream, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Keep warm. 3. Pat the pork chops dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and thyme. 4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 5. Sear the pork chops for about 4–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden and cooked through. Remove and let rest. 6. Add the diced apples to the same skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes. 7. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. 8. Pour in the apple cider and chicken broth, scraping up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. 9. Stir in the Dijon mustard and brown sugar. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce reduces and becomes glossy. 10. Add the pork chops back to the skillet and spoon the cider glaze over them. 11. In a small pan, melt a little butter and fry the sage leaves for 30–60 seconds until crisp. Remove and drain on a paper towel. 12. Serve the pork chops over or beside the sweet potato mash. 13. Spoon the apple cider glaze and caramelized apples over the pork. 14. Finish with crispy sage and freshly cracked black pepper. 🍂 Save this one for when you want a fall dinner that feels a little fancy without actually being complicated. #porkchops #fallrecipes #comfortfood #easydinner #FoodTok
