Christopher Jay :
& still no one’s beaten Mike Powells world record he set in 1991 of 8.95 meters.. Bob Beamon held the record for nearly 23 years with 8.90 meters before Mike Powell took it & Powell was the first man to beat Carl Lewis who hadn’t been beaten in a ten year period, 65 consecutive wins with a best of 8.87 meters & was always expected to beat Beamons record but never quite got over the mark.. who’s matching them now, who’s close, no one!
